Getting started
Getting started with Release Rollout
A first-release guide for invited Rollout users: sign in, create a music release sheet, review campaign details and share a selected view.
Reviewed October 22, 2026
Release Rollout brings a music release campaign into one release sheet: the artist, record, dates, artwork, assets, press and work still to do. Start with the facts you have, then build the sheet as the campaign develops.
Access during prelaunch
Rollout is invite-only and public signup is closed. These guides are publicly readable without an account. Existing invited users can sign in to Rollout. Reading the documentation does not create an account or grant access to a workspace.
Make your first release sheet
- From Release Sheets, choose New release. Creating and editing sheets requires an editor or admin account.
- Add the artist and release title, then fill in the release date and the other release facts you know. Add album artwork and the tracklist to give the sheet its starting shape.
- Use Campaign timeline for dated campaign events, Assets for useful links and Marketing beats for a checklist. Add press and playlist placements as they arrive.
- Watch the save status as you work. Shared means the sheet was saved to the shared workspace; this browser means it is stored locally in that browser.
Already working from a spreadsheet? Import can map pasted rows or a link-shared Google Sheet onto a new release. Review the resulting sheet carefully: import creates a release, and column mapping can need corrections.
Choose how to work together
Labels help organize releases inside the shared workspace. They do not make separate private spaces for different teams. If you need tasks from Todoist, link an existing project to the release after connecting your own Todoist account.
For an external reader, open the release’s Share view and use Sharing links to choose sections and create a password-protected link. Check the content before sending the link and password. A browser address for a signed-in release is different from a sharing link.
