Release sheets

Build and maintain a release sheet

Organize music release facts, campaign dates, tracks, artwork, assets, press and contacts in a Rollout release sheet.

A release sheet is Rollout’s working record for a music release campaign. It holds the details people repeatedly need, from the artist and title to campaign dates, artwork, track information and the latest press links. A release sheet is not a music distribution submission.

Begin with the release facts

Choose New release from the library. Add the artist, title and release date, then the formats, catalog number, UPC, genre, territory and distributor information you have. These fields record information for your campaign; entering a distributor does not deliver music to that service.

Add album artwork, press photos and artist links as the material becomes available. Keep names and dates consistent with the sources your team uses. You can return to the sheet and edit details throughout the campaign.

Build the campaign sections

Timeline entries and checklist items are part of the release sheet. Connecting Todoist adds a separate task workflow; it does not turn every sheet field into a synchronized Todoist task.

Find, export and maintain sheets

Use Search releases in the library to find a sheet. Labels organize releases, and artist links help you see releases under the same artist name. Labels are organizational groupings within the shared workspace.

The CSV button on an editable sheet downloads that release for use in a spreadsheet. The library’s Export downloads the collection as JSON. Review the contents before passing either export to someone else.

Archive moves a release out of the active list; Restore returns it. Deleted releases appear in Recently Deleted and can be restored during the 30-day recovery period. Use archive when you want to keep a finished campaign available.
