Troubleshooting Release Rollout

Resolve save conflicts, check shared versus browser storage, find missing releases, and troubleshoot imports, Todoist and sharing links.

Reviewed October 22, 2026

Start with the message shown in Rollout and the release or account you are using. Preserve any unsaved text before reloading a page or choosing a different saved version.

A conflict banner paused saving

This means someone else saved the sheet while you were editing. Load theirs loads their version and discards your unsaved edits. Keep mine saves what is on your screen over their version. Compare with your teammate before choosing when both sets of changes matter. Resolve the conflict before sending sheet rows to Todoist.

The save status says “this browser”

Shared confirms a save to the shared workspace. This browser indicates local browser storage, so another device or teammate will not see those local edits. Preserve or export what you need, then check that you are using the intended Rollout site and signed-in account.

A release is missing

Clear the library search and check the selected label or artist filter. Look under Archived for finished campaigns. Editors and admins can restore an archived release. Check Recently Deleted for a deleted sheet still within its 30-day recovery period.

A spreadsheet import fails or maps incorrectly

A Google Sheets URL must be accessible as anyone with the link. If that is inappropriate for your source, paste selected rows or CSV instead. Include clear headings, then inspect the resulting release. Import creates a new sheet; it does not update an existing sheet or maintain a connection to the source.

Todoist is visible but I cannot change tasks

The task view can use the linking teammate’s connection. Changes require your own connection and access to that project in Todoist. Check Account → Todoist; use Reconnect if offered. Ask the teammate who linked the project to arrange access in Todoist. Use Refresh to reload tasks and clear the task search if expected results are missing.

A sharing link will not open

Check that you have the sharing link and its password, rather than a signed-in release address. Ask the sender to check the named link under Sharing links. A revoked link no longer grants access.
