What is Release Rollout?

How release sheets bring a music campaign’s dates, tracklist, artwork, press and next steps into one shared place.

A release date is easy to put on a calendar. The work around it takes more coordination. Someone needs the current tracklist. Someone else needs the artwork, press information or campaign timeline. Release Rollout brings that work into release sheets for music teams.

One working record for the campaign

A release sheet holds the artist, release title and date alongside tracks, artwork and useful asset links. Campaign timeline entries record milestones; Marketing beats holds a checklist. Press, playlisting, artist bio and contacts give the team context for the work ahead.

For example, a label preparing a single can keep the artwork link beside the track information, record the press date in the timeline and list the remaining campaign work. The sheet can grow as the release develops. Editors maintain the details, while viewers can read them.

Work with the tools already in use

Spreadsheet import maps pasted CSV or Google Sheets rows into a new release. Export downloads release information for a spreadsheet. Import and export are separate actions: they do not keep Google Sheets continuously synchronized with Rollout.

Link an existing Todoist project to a release to see its tasks. Supported actions include creating a task from an eligible sheet row, completing or reopening tasks and adding comments, subject to the acting person’s Todoist access. Project creation, team administration and assignments stay in Todoist.

Share the context someone needs

For an external reader, choose which release sections to include in a password-protected sharing link. Review the selected content before sending it. You can revoke the link later. Within the app, labels organize releases in the shared workspace; they are not separate private team spaces.

Who can use it today?

Rollout is in prelaunch and invite-only. Public signup is closed; existing invited users can sign in, including with Google when offered. The documentation is open to everyone. Rollout coordinates campaign work; entering a distributor’s name on a sheet does not deliver music to that distributor.
